Journeyman Mechanics needed

Link Transit is accepting applications for 3 Full Time Journeyman Mechanics (Journeyman Maintenance Technician). These positions are responsible for independently performing journey-level mechanical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel and battery electric vehicles and equipment. This includes mechanical, air, hydraulic, air conditioning, and electric (both high and low voltage) systems on all types of transit vehicles.

Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by college-level technical skills training in the mechanical maintenance of gasoline- and/or diesel-powered vehicles, AND four (4) years' experience in the maintenance and repair of gasoline- and/or diesel-powered vehicles, including experience in repairing of mechanical, air, hydraulic, air conditioning and electrical systems. The successful candidates must either possess or secure within 30 days of employment, a valid Washington State Commercial Class B driver license (Link Transit will assist the successful candidates in obtaining their CDL including training and testing), as well as possess and maintain a good driving record throughout employment.

Hiring Pay Range:
$28.65 to $30.10

Days and Hours:
Tuesday thru Saturday 4 PM to Midnight until July 2020. In July 2020 this shift will include working Sundays with 2 days off during the week.
